Reviews for Bat Out of Hell at the London Coliseum 21.06.2017

Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell made its world premiere on the West End stage yesterday evening at the London Coliseum with Christina Bennington in the lead role of Raven alongside Jemma Alexander, Jordan Lee Davies, Amy Di Bartolomeo and Ruben Van keer.

The full company received an electric response from the audience throughout the evening and the night culminated in an instant standing ovation, with theatre critics praising the new musical with 4 and 5-star reviews:

'Bennington and Polec were made to rock and roll together and the chemistry between them is flame inducing.' - WhatsOnStage

'What though does shine through this production is...each member of the company attacking the piece with total conviction.' - The Reviews Hub

'Christina Bennington’s Raven is more than a match for Polec’s Strat, however, providing a female voice for what previously have been male renditions. The pair has real chemistry that shines out across the vast stage.' - The Reviews Hub

'With such a demanding and vocally dynamic score, the whole ensemble is collectively strong, scattered with exceptional new talents making their West End debut.' - The Upcoming

'(The standards) are punchily rendered by a hard-working cast led by Andrew Polec as Strat, Christina Bennington as Raven.' - LondonTheatre1
